Oh thank you! I believe that this was one of the first times I'd attempted to draw these characters.
I wish Smithers would wear his hair unstraightened/unstyled as an adult.
Yes, he doesn't look like Smithers without his glasses. Sort of like taking the glasses off of Harry Potter. It just doesn't seem the same! As for Mr. Burns, I always say that the cute ones make the best evil villians!
Has Burns ever worn glasses? I can't remember seeing him with any. It would be extremely cute! I don't understand why everyone (almost) on the show calls him ugly. Okay, I can see he's not sexy, but he's just too cute.
I loved this part in the story. And you are the best at writing Burns. It must be very hard to write him not too evil but not too nice, especially in a romantic light. I love his poems to Smithers!
Aaaah, whenever I see this, I wish they were real so I could hug them!
Maybe they just don't look past his age and see him for the adorably evil guy that we see him to be. He has always been a fan favorite, but I think after that super-bowl commercial was when his level of adorability went off the chart!
He looks damn good for 104. He doesn't even really have wrinkles; just some lines under his eyes. I think it's more Burns' boniness and moles than his face that makes some people cringe. I see comments like "THAT'S SO GROSS" and I don't know if they mean that a man would have a fantasy about another man or that they think Burns is just gross-looking (like in Smithers' birthday cake fantasy, which I think is adorable).
He's so damn cute! I just saw that the first time a few months ago. It made me happy that he had Smithers for sale at a much higher price than all of his priceless art. Still one hell of a bargain, though.
The older writers always talk about how much they love writing Burns and Smithers together. I wish they'd have large roles in more recent episodes. And be in-character.
What it's about... lol! Just so you're warned, lots of mature content and a couple of funny moments thrown in! That's all I can say! All written in hopes of keeping it not too trashy of course. I'll just have to break out a few of my Mom's old romance novels from the garage to try to keep my language tame and tasteful.(if possible XD)
Mature content is fine by me, and funny moments are always a good thing! I often get guidance from other books too: for example, I'm homeschooled, so I'll look at school stories for information when I write a scene that takes place in a school.
Can't wait to find out what happens!
It's kind of shocking seeing all of the homophobic comments on the vid though. It's like the homophobes suddenly were forced to deal with something gay and they just short-circuited or something! It was also fun to see so many people actually praising the vid. Burns/Smithers had more fans than I thought! Maybe things like videos and fanfiction will spread the love! XD
(See? I can't even leave an intelligible comment it's so cute. XP Curse you!)
I'll go to read your story!
I also read your story, it's really great! I hope you'll continue it for a long time, it's a pleasure to read such beautiful writing about such a beautiful couple lol
You know, I think you update pretty soon your story, and your chapters are so long that the wait was worthing it each time.
The only thing that matters is the quality of the chapters, not the time readers have to wait until reading it. I wish I could update my stories so fast as well!
Anyway, keep writing and drawing about Waylon and Monty!!
