About the fic, I sat down yesterday and organized the plot into a neat graph the way they would for a mystery novel so I hope the story will benefit from all the extra planning. It really needed it since I was going a little off track from the main plot. Future chapters will be rated M so I might lose a few readers over that, but I'll post all the appropriate warnings ahead of time.
Well I do enjoy mysteries, so that will be awesome. I am definitely looking forward to the M rated chapters XD.
I had also read your "Bloodlust and Synergy" fic too (actually just finished it on Tues.) I loved that one too. At first I was a little iffy about trying a Burns/Smithers fic, but thanks to your fic I ship them now XD
